• SIP wall system

Structural Insulated Panels (SIP) have been around for a number of years and have numerous benefits. They provide for a highly energy efficient home, can be built quicker and if designed in modular design can reduce significant wastage. SIPs can be used for elements of the building envelope including floors, roof and walls.

So What are SIP’s? SIP stands for Structural Insulated Panels. This refers to a panel that has designated structural properties with an insulated core. Another term commonly used is a Stressed Skin Panel. This is described as a panel that does not have an insulated core so therefore cannot be classified as a pure SIP. Sometimes the word sandwich panel is interchangeable term with SIP. For those who are interested in the technical differential I refer to the following link https://sipsupply.com/sip-blog/sandwich-panels-are-they-sips/

SIPs are Structural Insulated Panels consisting of 2 skins laminated to an insulated core. SIP houses are houses that are built with out the traditional structural timber or steel frame. Typically the external walls of a SIP house can be installed within 3-5 working days ready for the roof, windows and doors to installed.

Due to some changes in the latest technological information, ReGen is currently redesigning our MEGASIP system to ensure the highest level of compliance and building practices. Will advise when the changes have been made. If you would like to be notified, please fill in the contact sheet requesting notification.
