ReGen Building Solutions supports the Industry Advocate’s SA Product Register initiative and we have a range of products that are Supplied, Assembled and Manufactured in South Australia.. We believe in the importance of having a South Australian supply chain.
SIP’s
SIPs are Structural Insulated Panels also normally consist of 2 skins laminated to an insulated core. The 2 things that make SIP’s attractive to builders and homeowners relate to the key terms; structural and thermal. It is important to look at each of these terms in their own right.
Insulated
This is probably the most important prerequisite that homeowners, designers and builders are looking for. A cladding system that provides a high level of insulation providing thermal comfort and therefore limiting lifelong power costs. SIP’s cores are generally also made of 3 main types of insulation, Expanded Polystyrene (EPS), Polyurethane (PUR) and Polyisocyanurate (PIR). Each have their own features and benefits. The critical common feature is that they all have excellent thermal resistant properties. Read this blog to understand thermal resistance and thermal insulation as they relate to a building envelope. https://regenbuilding.com.au/uncategorised/understanding-three-components-of-building-a-thermally-efficient-house/
Structural
The creation of SIP’s also has to some degree provided innovation in the building industry from a design and building perspective. The first SIP house was also built in the United States state of Wisconsin in Madison by the Forest Products Laboratory. It was designed to reduce forest resources and in 1937, a small stressed-skin house was constructed with the aim of reducing the timber required for house framing. It was not until the 1950’s that insulation was added to SIP panels by architect Alden B Dow who is credited with creating the first SIP panel.
A SIP panel gains its strength by laminating skins on the external front and rear of a foam panel. The combined strength of a suitable skin laminated to a foam core provides incredible load and bending strength ensuring that a well designed SIP panel can be used as the structural elements of a house rather than frame. Whilst a SIP building envelope can be built faster than a traditional framed house.
ReGen Building Solutions along with its partners continually look for product improvement and more efficient installation methodology.

The Future
ReGen Building Solutions seeks to provide a SIP system that will be pre-manufactured and provided on site based on architectural drawings provided.
Current Status
ReGen Building Solutions manufacture SIP panels for Fences and insulated panels for wall cladding (see below). We currently have a SIP floor system called XL-Floor which is a 75mm panel that is ideal when building on upper stories or on a sub-frame XL-Floor – The Coolest Floor on the market . We hope to have a fully designed SIP building system in the next 12 months.
A masonry style fence with columns
SIP fencing is significantly cheaper than their masonry equivalents and provide a solid structure, and provides an excellent noise barrier.

Perfectly suited for adding security systems, down lights and security systems
StructaClad Lite is not a true SIP system as it not a structural insulated panel. StructaClad Lite is better defined as an Exterior Insulated and Finish System (EIFS). Whilst the panels are not structural, the panels provide some of the highest thermal resistance available in the residential market. The panels with an exterior skin also have an excellent surface for rendering or painting and are easily install. StructaClad Lite; The thermal cladding for your home.
StructaClad Lite is an Insulated Panel that provides a durable, impact resistant wall cladding.
StructaClad is also easy to install …… If you don’t believe it, watch below.
